Programme Design
Objective
CDF STEM Femme Fellowship – Digital skilling edition - is the first iteration of CDF’s fellowship to create an inclusive pathway for women to scale their economic activity, through either fractional or full-time employment, or scaling of their enterprise, by way of targeted skills training aligned with market requirements. As part of this iteration of CDF STEM Femme Fellowship, three fellows (STEM Femmes) who are students or midcareer professionals from technology, mid-management, the social sector, or academia will be selected. STEM Femmes will leverage their experience to strategise and create suitable employment pathways for women (participants) from other socioeconomic backgrounds. STEM Femmes will create meaningful change by offering targeted digital training to participants and pave flexible pathways for their participation in the workforce.
Fellowship Advantages
CDF STEM Femme Fellowship will provide a holistic learning experience for fellows and enhance their leadership and organisational skills. Throughout the programme, STEM Femmes will have the opportunity to network with changemakers, technologists, and industry leaders. They will gain valuable insights into real-world challenges and the societal barriers faced by women from less privileged backgrounds. Fellows are encouraged to devise innovative strategies autonomously to help participants contribute to the economy and improve their financial situations. Fellows will be guided by various experts from CDF and partnering organisations, fostering their professional growth and contributing to their overall development.
The six-month fellowship programme provides fellows with an experiential learning opportunity.
