Take your leadership to the next level

This fellowship presents an opportunity for working professionals as well as young changemakers to drive measured change towards bridging the gendered digital divide and facilitating gainful employment for women and non-binary genders. In undertaking this 6-month fellowship, you would also be adding a new dimension of complex-problem solving and creativity skills to your profile, that would give you a distinct edge and make you stand out in your career.

What you get?

STEM FEMME Fellowship Benefits
  • A total of Rs. 60,000/- per fellow. Paid as stipend across 6 months.
  • Opportunity to present the report and case studies to key stakeholders at the culmination of the fellowship.
  • Publication of the report on Citizen Digital Foundation’s website.
  • Certificate of fellowship.

Check your eligibility:

  • The STEM Femme Fellowship is open for women and non-binary genders only.
  • The fellowship is open to candidates residing in Kerala, India.
  • A commitment of 6 months - 4-5 hours a week - towards achieving the goals of the fellowship is a precondition for selection.
  • We invite applications from technologists, mid-management professionals, social sector workers and students with the drive to make technologies inclusive and representative.
  • A mindset to autonomously drive and accomplish the fellowship goals.
  • Resourcefulness and creative thinking to come up with ideas and resolve challenges along the way.
  • Ability to assess participant needs and barriers before setting out strategies to up-skill them.
  • Create responsive design approaches to deriving the desired outcomes.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills and a go-getter attitude.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • For the final selection round, shortlisted candidates will be asked to make a 5-minute presentation on their strategy to achieve optimum outcomes from the programme.

Become a CDF STEM Femme Participant

Be a part of paid workforce

Participants are identified by the STEM Femmes. Fellows will onboard participant women

  • Who have access to a laptop and
  • Possess basic computer knowledge
  • Pass a basic test of computer/digital skills before the onboarding.

After the participant training programme concludes, STEM Femmes will assess the participants on the specific skills they were trained on, and a score will be assigned, along with a certificate of upskilling.
